Reading Program

(for business)

Daily Reading to Build Soft Skills Habits
(Each US$1.00, 1 'World Civility Index' Point)

Continuous learning/continuous assessment. Doing what is awkward in seminars but easy in short articles and videos. Using the strategy of:

  • Long term (months, years)
  • Frequent (once every day)
  • Low-intensity (5-min)

 

 

Activities

(for business)

Activities include lectures, seminars, workshops, discussion groups, field trips, etc.

Interacting in Groups
(Each US$1.00, frequently 1 'World Civility Index' Point for a 1-hour session)

Doing what is most natural in group settings such as a seminar. Participants scan a QR code to earn World Civility Index points.

 

 

Level 1, 2, 3 Exams

(for business)

Level 1 Basic
(Exam fee US$150, 70 'World Civility Index' Points)

  • "Keeping up", entry level focusing on basic etiquette skills
  • Examine the 'what', 'how'
  • Photo uploaded to personal account
  • A one-minute "greeting" video stating your name, organization, title, and purpose of taking this exam
  • Written exam (50 computer-based, multiple-choice questions)

Level 2 Intermediate
(Exam fee US$350, 130 'World Civility Index' Points)

  • "Fluency", generally effective command of etiquette skills
  • Examine in-depth and breadth 'what', 'how'
  • Examine the theory, i.e. 'why'
  • Written exam (50 computer-based, multiple-choice questions)

Level 3 Advanced
(Exam fee US$2,500, 250 'World Civility Index' Points)

  • "Refined", reinforcing outcomes through real-world interactions
  • Overseas practicum (at our North America test centre in Vancouver, Canada), no written exam
